Heroin Addiction: Methadone Detox Facts

Question: If you know anything about heroin addiction, can you answer this?

Would it be realistic for a person who is normally extremely shy to suddenly become loud and outgoing and angry when she starts using heroin? It's for a story I'm writing.

I am going to say no, it isn't. It would be more likely the person would withdraw even more, except perhaps when looking for another 'fix'. Search 'effects of heroin personality' or talk to a rehab counselor.

No, I'd go with cocaine instead. (For the story!, not for real!) That gives a sense of immense confidence. x
