Question: Why do heroin addicts crave orange juice?

I work at an A &D facility and have wondered what it is about orange juice that makes heroin and other opioid dependants crave it.

You sure it's not grapefruit juice? Grapefruit contains certain enzymes that potentiate (increase) the effects of opiates, so naturally an opiate addict's fridge is always filled with grapefruit juice - makes $20 of drugs feel like $40.
