Heroin Overdose: Methadone Detox Facts

Question: Would a heroin overdose be a pleasant death?

I've heard that sometimes in the medical world they give patients a concuction of heroin and alcohol in order to give them a pleasant, pain- free death. Would a heroin overdose have the same effect? Would the sufferer pass out through relaxation before dying?

Not an overdose just a high dose. But if they were hyped on opaites while they left the world it would be a much better way of dying, you'd not be killing them just letting them enjoy it. I know if I am ever sitting in a hospital bed with hours to go I would wanna spend it nodding, sad I know. You would really care that much about the death.

I would think that dying any way would be unpleasant, because you get all cold when your body shuts down. AND you're still semi-concious usually. Gives me the eebie-geebies.

Omg are you sick in the head or something doctors do not give terminally ill patients a concoction of heroin and alcohol to give them a pleasant pain free death they are put on a pain killer pump that most of the time puts the patient into a coma so they can slip away peacefully

I had a friend of mine OD. It didn't look like a peaceful death AT ALL!! I don't want to horrify you with details, but it was very messy.

Euthanasia is not currently legal in the UK. A pain free, pleasant death cannot be guaranteed, no. When you die, you don't actually have a notion of passing, you lapse into a coma (it can be seconds, minutes, hours, days or weeks before death) before passing away.
