That shit fucks you up for a while. If your quitting cold turkey expect shakes, being cold, throwing up, and so so much more for at least 2 weeks, try doing coke to help you calm down and then weed and then quit. But really I'm sorry quitting heroin is so hard, but you can do it. Good luck.

Heroin withdrawal can vary depending on numerous facts: 1) type or purity of heroin consumed 2) amount consumed 3) duration of use 4) method of ingestion..these four things can vary the length and severity of withdrawal..ingestion is usually a controversial subject, whether smoking, snorting or shooting is more and or less addicting...I don't feel qualified to make a judgment on this topic, however, in my experience, most people that smoke or snort generally use much more than someone that shoots as the IV injection crosses the blood-brain barrier much more effectively and that goes into the amount used which is DEFINITELY a factor in withdrawal... Acute withdrawal can last anywhere from 3-8 days and that is mostly the physical symptoms, however msot people will tell you that Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms (PAWS) are the psychological ones: depression, malaise, adehodia, and generally having to cope with reality again and far worse.......

It depends on how long u was using, how often, & how u were using(snorting, running, or smoking) I say usually the physical should last anywhere from 48 to 72 hrs. If ur serious about quitting u should try a 12 step program or they have other means to get u off like methadone its also a couple of other things Try ur State Substance Abuse Center
