Heroin Withdrawal: Methadone Detox Facts

Question: Could this be heroin withdrawal? please no lectures, i need help?

I have been using heroin once a week for the last month, after the fifth day without it i started to get extremely itchy all over my body, i couldn't stop sweating but was freezing, and my palms were soaked. I also found myself over the toilet about to throw up, it felt like i was crawling out of my own skin, could this be withdrawal? If so can it take affect days after not using? please help me....

Yes, it is withdrawal. I recommend that you find an alternative and give up on heroin. If you continue to take it, your body will sooner or later get used to it and after a while it (heroin) will no longer have an effect on you and you will no longer get that high that you crave. Heroin will remain in your bloodstream for months at a time, so you are going to have to be strong. By the way, your withdrawal symptoms will be at their worst once your body gets accustomed to the heroin.

Yes those are all symptoms of withdrawal and yes it can take a few days to develop those symptoms. be strong and work through the withdrawal.

It sure does sound like withdrawal. Yes it can take effect days after not using it. That's why it's so addictive , you get hooked immediately just like crack and when you stop you end up getting bad withdrawals fom it.

Yep definantly withdrawal. I would suggest trying to pull through and not doing any more heroin.

I think so... word of advice... if your having trouble sleeping take a benadryl...
