Question: How often do they drug test you at a methadone clinic?

I just took my first dose of methadone today and have 6 roxicets left. Will they drug test me again tomorrow when I get my second dose?

In the beginning Federal regulations state they will test you once a week. Then after you have been there 90 days with no violations you are tested once a month. At my clinic they told me during the first 2 weeks your body is adjusting to the Methadone & they are slowly increasing your dose so they expect a period where you still may be taking a few opiates to relieve the pain. They ignored a positive opiate result during the that time. I took some Oxycontin during the first week. This worried me even thought they said it was normal because I was afraid it meant the Methadone was not going to work. Week 2 came & everything changed. After 1 year and 6mo. I am still clean, have not touched the first opiate and I even have cancer now. So, hang in there....it works!

They will only drug test you once a month, but drugs still float in your system so they will know weather or not you did them. my dad goes to a methadone clinic in El Cajon and he has not touched drugs for about 3 years!! they worked with him and i am so proud that i dont have to see him suffer. im 13 and i will never do drugs because i saw what they did to your body and... YUCK!!!
