Is it methadone withdrawl?
My boyfriend came off of the methadone program 7 days ago after being down to 1ml. He was doing great having very little withdrawal symptoms. Last night before bed he started feeling really crappy then all night he was puking and had severe diarrhea... hes still not able to keep even water down this morning and feels really weak... could this be the withdrawals or a flu?

Any advice on methadone withdrawl?
I'm sick,its been almost 3 days, I feel like I'm dying please help

My husband and I just got off methadone's... It's been a week for me and I still feel like shit. I only took a 10mg. a day and that only started in the last year. For two years I only swallowed a half My hubby on the other hand has taken ALOT in a day for the past six years. I figured my with drawl would be fairly quick but I still feel hell after a week. I've been doing research and they all say that someone who has taken a lot of these pills needs assistance of some kind. My husband is freakin' out The researches also say it can last up to years to get past the with drawls I don't have time for that Who really knows how long methadone with drawls are? And because I took far less than my hubby will my pain last years too? I'm worried about him and don't know what I could do to help him and help myself. On top of keeping it cool in front of two children. Any help would be appreciated

how long does it take to fully get weened off of methadone's?..i know someone who is trying to get off of them and has been tapering down for 4 weeks and its still really bad if you could share your stories ...they was taking about 8 a day now they are down to 1 but still feels horrible

Help with fathers Methadone Withdrawl...?
My father in law has had a UTI, and has been on methadone for years for his pain. The doctors are slowly reducing his Methadone. He has gone from 50, to 30mg daily this week. He is staying at our house so we can monitor him. When he went to the doctors on Monday his B P was 140 90. Now his blood pressure is 140 100 and 130 99 the last 2 times we checked. He is flushed and getting cold sweats. He is in his 50's. He has been drinking lots of water to help flush out his infection. What can we do to help this process and make him feel better? Thanks

Methadone withdrawl, will i ever sleep again?
I've been off methadone for one month today. I was on the clinic for 15 years. i don't know anyone who has been there that long and gotten off. They all go back. I can't sleep. I have a script for kolonopin & take way too many advilPM's & sleeping pills OTC but i can't sleep. Is thee anyone out there who has had a long term habit & made it? Should I expect to not be able to sleep forever? Any advice?
