Is depression or the methadone responsible for my weight loss?
Ok, so for the past 5 years I have been struggling with opiate addiction. I finally decided i would die if i didnt change the path i was on, so i went on methadone maintanence..... it saved my life.I am having some problems though. Methadone causes me to get SEVERELY depressed. Depressed to the point of not eating anything but some bread during the day, and a little dinner at night, if I can keep it down. I have lost about 15 20 pounds this month alone, and weight gain is very common with methadone patients.Could this be a rare side effect of the methadone? or could it be depression? Because I am severely depressed all the time on this shit. How do I get food in me when I feel like this?

I took xanax,alcohol,and methadone.. will i be okay?
I took a xanax bar, two cans of four loko, and six methadones..think i'll die? can you mix all these together? the pain just will not stop sorry... left out when doses.the 6 methadonesone blue xanax..then started drinking 3 hours later.. while drinking took a xnax bar.. still drinking amlost out of alcohol but pain will not stop and anxiety either nor depression

Was off methadone 3 days, took 1.5mg subutex?
Then 3 days later took another 1.5 mg subutex. Then 3 days later took 9 mg methadone. Been 2 days since the methadone. Have i set myself back to square 1 with all the drug swapping? I have heard that it can help with the withdrawals. I have about 6 mg methadone left and was going to take 1 mg every 3 days and then be done with it. Anyone have advice on whether this is a good or bad idea?

My husband died of a methadone overdose supposedly.?
I do not know how this could be possible. He was out of his medication for at least 3 to 4 days. He was prescribed 30mg of methadone a day. He has taken this amount for over 6 years. He was 40 years old, weighed 240 lbs, and was 6ft tall. The amount of methadone in his blood was 0.12. The medical examiner said he could tell he hadn't had any medicine in a while. With this high of a level, the only thing he could say was an accidental methadone overdose. There was also signs of heart disease. My husband was a smoker for over 25 years. He had recently quit. He drank every day. Could there possibly be another reason for his unexpected death?

Does anyone know if there is a methadone clinic in florida that will take medicaid?
I called the meridean in gainesville they told me that medicaid wont cover me in that county? what isnt it Florida medicaid? I am asking for help I want off of the opiod dependency that I got myself on.Im not askin for pity from anyone just help to find a clinic or a doctor that can help me.I tried quiting on my own and I couldnt stand the chills hot flashes diarrhea ,vomiting,cramps,and pain. I have been going to a methadone clinic for about 3 days to get off pain pills. I have to go every morning and take my medicines for that day but its a 45 min drive. Does anyone know how long you have to go until they let you bring a couple days worth of medicine home and not have to go every day?

Am I overdosing on methadone?
I have been on 55 mg's of methadone for about the past 6 months. I am doing a slow opiate taper due to recent dependence because of a surgery.This methadone can make me SEVERELY tired and lethargic. Sometimes i will be laying down and i will say things that make no sense, I will pass out unintentionally, and when I wake up I will shoot out of the laying position extremely fast as I find myself very short of breath unable to think and very light headed. Are these common side effects of opiate dependence? The side effects are really beginning to scare me. My dose has been stable for the past 6 months and these side effects are relatively new.

Can you take Liquid Methadone and Neurotin together?
Ive been on liquid methadone for 2 years now, and I have never taken anything else with it, I previously was prescribed Neurotin before I got on Liquid Methadone, and I was wondering if i could take the 2 together without there being a negative interaction, I have asked at the Clinic and they said I could, but I would like to hear someones experience opinion before I actually take them together..
