Methadone: Methadone Detox Facts

Question: I been on methadone 5mg two times a day for a week. if i stop now will i get withdrawals?

Also how long will it take to get it out of my system so other pain killers like vicodin will work I take 5mg two time a day. So that's 10mg a day for one week.

It depends on the mg of the drugs. ill advice to drink lots of water, it helps to withdraw the medicine out... <u have to pee > blood have been purified in the kidney, kidney are the ones makes the urine. so it will helps, but its needs longer time but its effective and its very safe.

It depends on your system - do you take other opiates or did you before you took the methadone? If Methadone is the only thing you have taken, you may have mild wd but they shouldn't be bad... why don't you cut down 1st instead of going cold turkey.... maybe one 5mg a day for week, then 1/ 2.... that's def the easier way to do it...
