I am on methadone and actually some states have medical assistance which covers the full cost of this drug,so i pay nothing before it became active i paid 85/ week which was extremely difficult but i had family to help me manage it is a very helpful drug to help u come of of things like heroin, but like the past writer stated its very addicting and one shouldnt rely on this for the rest of their lives! I have asked how does come off of it, i was johns hopkins bayview, and my counseler told me you can do a blind detox(this is where u r slowly taken off of the drug at an extremely slow rate) almost to the point where ur body doesnt even realize its missing the drug! I have seen older individuals come in and have been on it for years with briefcases full of take homes! and to me this is sad cause for the rest of their life they have to depend on this drug! They also said that its smart to come off at a slow rate and when u are pretty much stable in life, not when a ton of things are going wrong, etc |
