Methadone: Methadone Detox Facts

Question: Methadone 5 mg tablets 2-3? help?

Hi all, Recently I've been taking Methadone 5 mg tablets 3 times a day; However my doctor cutting back by one pill. I don't want to go through detox. Also, how long does it take before you start detox from methadone? How many hours or days have to elapse before it begins? I've been thinking about getting off it and back on something else. Thank you.

Methadone is infamous for is unbelievably long withdrawals. It can take up to a full month or longer of withdrawals before a person might be feeling some relief...Your doctor should have warned you about that before you started on it. I feel bad for you. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Good luck!
