Im not prescribed methadone but take it occasionally for pain. the max taken is 10mg. I have a drug test in 48 hours and they test the saliva in your mouth. Will the pill show up on my employment screening test?

It is likely to. Methadone stays in your system 1-7 days. Also, I would recommend trying to get off of it. Its used as a surrogate to cure opiate addiction, there's better things you can take to help with pain.

It depends on when you last took it. It will stay in your system for up to a week so if you took some recently it may show up. Whatever would show up on a urine test will show up on a saliva test. If you have pain severe enough to take methadone you should be able to get a prescription for strong pain medication. Probably not methadone since it's not a good medication for sporadic pain but maybe vicodin or something. If your pain is not that severe there is no reason to take methadone. 800mg of ibuprofen should be enough then. Taking non prescribed pain medication is really a bad idea as it could put you in jail and cost you jobs, as it may now. Get a prescription if you need it.
