My husband is going through mild opiate withdrawal and his mood has been COMPLETELY different.......he has been snapping at me and having severe angry mood swings. we've always had a lot of problems, but until he's gone through the withdrawal he had been very sweet. are those symptoms part of the withdrawal or not?

Yes, and they might last a while, depending on how "mild " this is, and what type of opaite he is withdrawling from. Some mild exercise, healthy food, and a good prescription sleep aid will help, as well as hot baths for the muscle cramps and restless legs. Day 4 is usually the turning point of starting to feel better coming off a short acting opiate, like oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine or even heroin. Be nice to him :-) It's not an easy thing to do!
