Question: My husband's pain pill addiction is costing us thousands part 2?

My husband has been taking the pills for about 4 or so years now. It started small and I know he is in pain but, come on. He has asked his Dr. for a higher strength but, he said "no " because after the surgery that's when he will need the higher strength.

Take your husband to a pain management specialist.

The Dr. is right in telling your hubby that he will need a higher dosage after surgery/ tell hubby to be thankful the Dr. is allowing him to take the strength he is on

Talk to the doctor and find out if there is another way he can recommend to manage the pain or if there is someplace he can refer you to for pain management.

Why don't you try a non-pharmacologic measures to treat pain. You can search for it online.
