Question: Help with narcotic pain pills addiction?

I have been on 10mg of percocets for over a year a i have a herniated disk that hurts really bad, my doctor cut me off my pain pills with no prior notice and i started having withdrawls, now i get them the best ways i can, i buy them off the streets if i need to and my tolerence is up so high that i take way to many, i started taking 3 to 6 a day and then i went up to about 20 a nd nowww i am starting to take oxycotting and morpine just to help with the pain and i'm taking opanas too, pretty much whatever i can get, i need to get thru the withdrawls so i can stop paying for all these pills and get my heaLTH BACK, MY WIFE HAS EVEN THREATEND TO LEAVE ME IF I DONT GET OFF THEM, BUT IF I DO GET OFF THEM, THEN I HAVE TO BE MISERABLE WITH THE PAIN, WHAT THE HELL CAN I DO. PLZZZ HELP, I'M BOUT TO LOSE MY WIFE AND KIDS IF I DONT COME UP WITH A SALOUTION. you cant just up and stop taking them, the withdrawls are to bad and it almost send me into cardiac arrest everytime i try to stop and the pain clinic will not accept me and doctore wont do anything, is there anyone that has triede to come off the pain pills such as oxys and morphine and percocets?

You need to go in to rehab. this is serious. like it or not this is a drug addiction. the med you are taking are opiates, and hit you brain just like heroin. you have already seen the pattern of taking more and more. that will only get worse with out treatment. the truth is you have a deadly over dose. i know its hard and painful. and you should know that substance addiction is one of the most difficult things stop. Please go get Professional help. believe me this is not something you can do alone. God Speed and stay healthy

Yes You MUST start cutting dosage a little each day Simple as that. If you cannot do that then go to a rehab. They have instant medication that will save you

First you have to realize that you are really an addict to a number of drugs. You are both physically and emotionally addicted. That requires detox of the narcotics in your body and that can only be done effectively through a rehab center. Get another doctor and ask for admit to a treatment center, probably inpatient as you are at such a high level of use. Your wife is right. As addicted as you are you are either going to kill yourself by OD or break up your family. So why should she stay with you if you don't help yourself. You can not tell me and be truthful that no one in the drug rehab profession will not help you unless you are not willing to give up your habit, in which case it is a waste of both of your time.
