Pain Pill Addiction: Methadone Detox Facts

Well, for starters, I'm a 17 year old male and I've been taking pain pills for recreational use for a couple months. I take whatever I can get, percocet, vicodin, oxycodone, etc...I dont think it's much of a problem, but I'm starting to think that I NEED them or my day will be horrible. Last night I snorted 2 vicodin 10's and today I took a oxycodone 10 at my girlfriends house. I've been shaking all day, and I don't understand why... ): I was wondering if anyone knew any good ways I could quit doing these pills, It's starting to take over my life...I'm failing school because of it and stuff. I dont want my parents to find out... ): Thanks.

Make an appointment with your primary care physician and talk to them about your problem. What you talk about with your doctor is confidential. There are drugs out there like suboxone that are used specifically to treat opiate addiction. You need to get yourself away from the people or situations that stemmed the addiction to begin with. I wish you the best with getting yourself out of this situation before it gets much worse.
