So i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia this year (im 17) and its been super painful on my body and i found that pills helped stop the pain but it ended up to the point to where i was taking darvon, vicoden, codiene, anything i could get my hands on to stop the pain. but then i started smoking them, parachuting and snorting. Ive had a few close calls before from taking one too many but i just shoved it aside. when i was high i almost stole a syringue and somehow that was my wake up call. im going to have to take meds for the rest of my life how to i not abuse them? or what can i do for pain? and what can i do to get sucessfully clean WITHOUT my parents finding out. thanks

Ask for a prescription of Neurontin. It works for nerve pain and it's non-addictive. There are more options than what your dr. is giving you. Try to do a lot of research on the subject and be an informed patient. You need to be a team member in your own health and be as educated as you can on the subject. The street drugs will make it worse and you really don't want to end up in jail.

If you keep smoking them and snorting the only way the drugs will work is if you mainline and thats nasty especially at 17

Fms is highly overdiagnosed assuming you really have it-- you need to address the cause rather than the symptoms the recommended treatment is a combination of SNRI and anti seizure meds it will not be cured by vitamin D unless you are misdiagnoised and have a vitamin D deficieny instead it will not be cured by hormones unless you are misdiagnoised and actually have a hormone issue
