How to safely wean off suboxone with minimal withdrawals ?
I was taking methadone for over a yr n a half then decided to switch to suboxone cuz I heard it was better for me but now I'm rdy to wean off of that. I want to b completely clean. What's the best way to wean off of suboxone with minimal withdrawals? I'm also prescribed half mg of xanax for my anxiety, so I'm sure that will help some with withdrawals. Is it dangerous to smoke marijuana while on suboxone? ?
My doc recently put me on .5 mg of suboxone four times a day, to see if it would help with my torn disc pain instead of 6 norco 10s a day . It works wonders. But sometimes I would like to smoke I have my michigan medical card , when I over do it with carrying laundry or something, and the pain comes back. Since starting the suboxone ive been kinda scared to smoke.

My fianc has been going to a rehab clinic & getting suboxone for about 3 years now for oxycontin addiction . We are getting married in April and he has decided this would be a good time to get off the suboxone of course I am all for it because after all the research I have done, I have concluded 3 years is wayyyyy too long it is supposed to take about 6 months to finish this type of program . Well he has been doing things the right way instead of quitting cold turkey, he has been tapering down. I don t know much about the doses & things like that. Today he said he took his last pill. He has already started feeling crappy withdrawal . He said he has a headache, body ache and can t sleep. I don t know how to help him because I have NO IDEA what he is going through. I have done a ton of research but I have never had an addiction myself so it is different. Also, I am afraid because he said the suboxone was his " security blanket" why his fiance and child aren't enough of a " security blanket" , I don't know and he is saying he is doing this for me. I am afraid he might go back to drugs and I will feel like it's my fault. Any advice?

Can I kick drugs by taking suboxone for only 4-7 days?
I was taking a small dose opiate for years for diarrhea now that I am addicted to that I started taking percocets to help me get off the other drug. I only took the percocets for about 3 days at relatively high doses because I always felt the withdraw 2 3 hrs after taking the Percocet. I have 4 suboxone and have taken 1 already half morning half night but I will run out. Since I am not a heroin addicted or not a huge user of painkillers will I be OK by the 5 th day? I was using a drug called Motofen which has opiate in it only 1mg. After having that in my system for 5 yrs how bad will my withdraw be and how long? I am hoping I can use suboxone and it will basically hide the withdraw from me so by the 5thday I will be fine or have very small withdraw?Can I get thru this?

How long is suboxone in the system? I heard its possible up to 24 days. But i took 8mgs i the span of 3 days to 'kick the habit' How long will suboxone be detected in my urine?Today is 12 22 11. So Ive taken 6mg in the last 32 hrs...and none before that. I get tested specifically for suboxone on 12 27 11...4 or 5 days from now. Will I be in the clear? Its a urine test, not a blood or hair test.

How long should I wait after my last dose of methadone to start suboxone?
I have went down from 85mg of methadone to 17mg of methadone at a rate of 4mg per day. It has been 24 hours since my last dose of 17mg and Im already feeling the w d setting in. I know they say to wait 3 days once you are down to 30mg of methadone but if I have tapered down to 17mg would I still have to wait a full 3 days? Please only answer if you have experience with suboxone. Because I have experienced precipitated W D in th past and never want to feel that again. Thank You.

Suboxone yesterday, fentanyl today?
Hey, I'm in sort of a tight spot because I'm someone who uses pain meds for legit purposes, but since I have began abusing, I've been trying to get sober and tough it out through the pain. That being said, I'm in so much pain right now, and I want to know...Is 24 hours long enough to take a VERY small dose of fentanyl after using suboxone? I've read that some people experience immediate withdrawal, while others don't, they just don't get high. Well, I'm not trying to get high, I'm trying to relieve my pain, so I don't mind if I get the bare minimum out of my fentanyl, as long as I'm not in pain anymore.And please, if you aren't going to answer me directly from experience, I modestly request opinions be held to yourselves. Suboxone after Lortab?
My husband is trying to get off Lortabs that he is prescribed. He takes about seven a day. He got prescribed Suboxone film strips today, two a day. The doctor said he could take 1 2 of the filmstrip tonight and see if it works, and then take the other 1 2. But he took a lortab around 2 00 and now it is 8 00. Just wondering if this is ok? Don't want him to go into the withdrawals from taking lortab and suboxone so close together.
